For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son …. Resurrection Day – probably THE singular most important day in human history. In His resurrection Jesus proved the veracity of all He had been teaching and re-affirmed the reliability of all God had promised – both events that had happened previously and all those still to come.

Recently Rebecca Leung (our Session Clerk) and Rev Dr Colin Marshall celebrated with the Chinese Community, our new MP Carlos Cheung, local Board Members and the Chinese community as they ushered in the Chinese New Year in style.

Community Gardening Project – due to construction the garden was disassembled. We now have additional space at the back section that has been flattened for us for even more garden space. A new project re-assembling and extending the gardens is being planned for work shortly … watch here for details.
10 am Sunday Services – Leading into Easter (TBA shortly)
After Easter VBS – Vacation Bible School for young people. Before the buildings are demolished to make way for our build we will have our Vacation Bible School. Running for some 16 years now this has gone from strength to strength with many young people sharing the first week of their school holidays together at St. John’s. If you are interested contact the Minister (Colin) on 021750362.

Auckland City Hospital Carols
Auckland City Hospital Carols
Each month we have a team that assists with worship at Auckland City Hospital. Once a year people from multiple churches join together to take Christmas carols to the wards and encourage and cheer the patients. It is a great privilege to be able to share in this blessing to those in need… and a lot of fun too.
Community Centre Fundraiser @ Bunnings
Some of the great team of helpers that turned up in shifts to help with our fundraiser. It was great to hear the positive community feedback and support for the new community center that is out there in the wider community.

Our annual Cafe, Carols and Communion service is a fun time to celebrate the year.
St John’s Day 2023
What a wonderful day we had for our annual St John’s Day celebration! Thank you to all those who participated and who worked together in the church and in the kitchen to make this a day to remember. So many awesome gifts and talents on display … not to mention the food … praise the Lord!

NOTICES
WEDNESDAY COMMUNITY MEAL the weekly Community Meal is held in the church hall off Akarana Ave at 6-7pm on Wednesday nights. All welcome. No cost but koha is always appreciated but not required.
Fridays – MAINLY MUSIC for pre-schoolers and their parents/guardians is on Friday mornings from 10am (morning tea) through to sometime after 11am in the church lounge. (Cost is $4 per session or a term card is available).
Mondays – COMMUNICARE is now on Mondays 10am in the upstairs Church Lounge (parking in the carpark off Akarana Ave, at the back of the church and come up the stairs). Communicare has been caring for seniors, the isolated, lonely and disabled within Auckland since 1959. All are welcome.
